Oryx

The Alpacka Oryx is an inflatable, lightweight take on the classic open canoe. It is narrower and longer than the raft inspired Forager and features two specialized ergonomic seats that allow the paddlers to sit upright. The high seating position is ideal for all day seating comfort, putting in miles, and relaxing while fishing or wildlife watching while traversing lakes or flatwater river systems. The Oryx is Alpacka’s fastest flatwater boat hull, featuring the cargo fly zipper and 13.1 inch tube diameter for drier and more secure gear storage and improved paddling performance due to a lower center of gravity. Experienced whitewater canoeists will be able to run up to Class II+ whitewater with ease in the Oryx. It is best paddled with a canoe style paddle due to the seating configuration, however, it can be paddled by a single stern paddler with a kayak paddle so that the front paddler can fish, take pictures, read a book, or make lunch.
